Figurative
paintings consist of a collection of shapes and colours. When we look at them we naturally focus on shapes which we
easily recognise -- shapes with names. The nameless incidental ones however, are often missed through our eagerness
to understand and control our surroundings in response to our primitive need to feel secure.
